Last time I dinked with Apple ][ emulation was on my old Win98 system,
which ran AppleWin 1.30 just fine. However, AppleWin 1.30 (obtained
from http://geta.life.uiuc.edu/~badger/apple2.html) dies with 'The
instruction at "0x0041c816" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The
memory could not be "read".' on my current Win2K system.
So I am scrounging around for alternatives. I located XGS32 at
http://xgs32.emucamp.com/ and it looked good... at least it launches.
But when trying to actually run the emulator, it complains it can't find
the ROM file. Which seems true, since there is a configuration screen
entry for "xgs32.rom" which does not exist anywhere in the directory (or
even in the setup .exe when opened with WinZip)!
So... anyone have the xgs.rom file? Any ways to get AppleWin working?
Are there any other Apple emulators I've missed?
Cheers!
Rob
