I think the Mac will fork the files, you'll need an unforking utility on the
Apple II. The best way to get started is to use a IIgs running GSOS. It can
unshrink forked files. So use it to make an 800K ProDos disk with all the
utils you'll need on the IIe card- Shrinkit, Unforkit, Binscii, Azimov, etc.
Boot the IIe card and copy those files to the ProDos partition on the Mac
hard disk. Now you should be able to use the Mac to copy files to the ProDos
partition, then boot the IIe card and unfork those files, then unshrink them
etc.
You can also process the 5.25" disk images on the IIgs, putting them on
floppy and use the 5.25" floppy connected to your IIe card, of course.
