Downloaded and compared...I have a newer version of the manual.  Mine is 
Copyright 1983.

Well, the chip that I assume is the ROM chip (24 pin) doesn't seem to 
have a version number on it.  On the paper label on it there's just some 
jumbled red ink...totally unreadable.  Looks like it was stamped and 
then twisted while it was on there...any way to check on that when I 
finally get around to sticking it in a IIe?
