Q Drive Help

I have a "Q Drive" by Quality computers on my AppleIIe that will not self
boot.
It works fine and all my old files are there but I must have a floppy in
Drive 1 in order for it to work.
If I take the disk out, it just keeps running.
The instructions say to ctrl reset and PR#n at the prompt but all I get is
"Boot Error" when I use PR#7, the location of the SCSI card.
Any help?
