How can I connect my WIn 98 PC with my Apple PowerPC 7300 running OS 8?
The network cables are connected (coax), TCP/IP is configured (i.e. IP
adress and subnetmask).
What is the next step? I suppose I must install clients?

thanx

Along with the PC groups in your list I would suggest contacting a Mac group. You have accidentally posted to just about all the Apple// groups instead. In case you (or others) don't realise... Apple// <> Mac. Furthermore, Mac <> Apple//. Two different computer lines produced by the same company.

While I managed to get a lot closer than you are at the moment (with RedHat Linux 5.2 and System 7.5.5 on a IIcx) and would be interested to hear an appropriate response myself, it would be a better idea to see what Mac folks would have to say. You can find them in various groups with "mac" in the name. For example comp.mac.*, comp.sys.mac.*, or comp.os.mac.*. This way you should get a better answer.
