BSR modules, also known as X-10 modules or PowerHouse modules, are
widely avaliable. New devices are being designed all the time. It is a very
active market, since no practical, affordable alternative has been developed
for "wired wireless" control of line-powered devices.
You can even find them at Radio Shack!
