Yeah, no question that schools bought IIgs's and used them in Apple II labs.
I helped keep one going up until a couple of years ago, when they obsoleted
them. They were using IIgs's beside IIe's, running the same software. They
didn't take advantage of the power of the IIgs's.

However, they had stopped buying IIgs's by the time the ROM 3 came out. They
switched to Macs.
