Okay, I go a little further since the first post:
I found in the Apple Knowledge Base at Apple's site article #7870 which
explains how to setup AppleShare Server, how to create an AppleShare boot
disk and then how to use that boot disk to startup the GS and install System
6.0.1 from the GS onto the AppleShare Server's startup disk.
I did it, followed all the steps and everything went smooth unitl I tried to
boot my IIgs off of the server.
1) I turn on the IIgs and it finds the server.
2) It prompts me to login and I use the account that I created on the
server.
3) It authenticates fine and the graphical screen for the System 6.0.1 shows
up.
4) The progess bar barely moves and I get a blue screen that says:
Please insert the disk: MACHD
MACHD is the startup volume on the AppleShare Server where the 6.0.1
software was installed.
For some reason the OS is trying to locate that drive now. Why did it loose
it in the first place? Is there any issues with a ROM 01 machine?
Thanks,
Macnlos
