You mean that you have set your modemport-rate at 38400 baud. I had
mine always set to 57600 baud back in the days that I used Proterm and
METAL/FV (my BBS).
A ZIP or Transwarp card might be needed for this, but it worked fine. My
modem, and I still have it, is a SupraFaxModem 33600 with a "special"
hardware handshaking cable which I bought from Intrec around the same
time I got my modem (which came without a good cable).
