I don't know, but i plugged in my duodrive into the 19 pin port (smartport?)
on the back of my rom 1 gs and it works fine.  boots to a floppy with no
problem.

it could be that the drive that formatted the floppy that you are using in
the duo drive is not readable by the duo drive.
