Which is why the Secret Service wanted GW there. Everybody tends to not
quite remember that the Secret Service has paranoia as one of the job
requirements.
And yes, the near misses would be something to worry about.
Here at the Minneapolis airport late last night, they had a cargo plane
flying in for some necessary reason. The fighter planes were circling
right overhead, in tight circles, until that plane was on the ground.
Then they went back to their more leisurely patrol.
