No, you have to get it from Apple's FTP site, or try version.tracker. It's
free.

OK, thanks for that info, I do have dial up assess, and this is not likely
to change until a) we get cable in our town, and b) the price of cable drops
below phone line + ISP rental. My main PC is set to 192.168.0.1 and all
other PC's and Mac's and Apple IIGS are otherwise, with only the last digit
changed.

Yep, sounds easy, but I think I need to get a book or some one-on-one
tuition. I don't see why I couldn't set my home network up with their own IP
address, I'm not likely to outgrow 10 or so networked computers. Currently I
have about 7 and I think I'm near the maximum.
If DHCP assigns the IP address', do they change each boot up and how do I
know what it is for pinging ?

you already asked that, I don't have any working Mac II's yet, but I am
trying to fix a Mac IIci. Don't hold your breath though, it doesn't look
likely yet.
