Well I understand that, but it's not so automatic that it can't be
changed.  I have a different line for nearly every newsgroup I post to.
When I move to a different group, I just switch the former out and switch
a new--e.g., pre-prepared appropriate for the new group--line in.  It's
not terribly hard.  I'm quite creative: got a slew of 'em.

Naw, no Mars or coma--I just wasn't here!  Hey, I love computers do death
just like the rest of us, but that doesn't blind me to the fact that,
nonetheless, there _are_ other things in life too.  I'm not always here
(in fact at this moment, I haven't been here in about a month or more).
During the last flamewar, I was doing...something else!  Jesus!  Whaddya
want from me!?
