I've got a '78 model Apple ][. After a while, the keyboard (or
whatever controls it) will decide on different letter for certain
keys. For example, "HOME" will become "HKIA." The errors are
consistent (i.e. "HOME" *always* becomes "HKIA"); if I wiggle the
circuit board beneath the keyboard a little, the problem goes away.
This isn't a really serious problem, only something that happens every
half-hour to an hour or so, but it does mean I can't put much on top
of the system since I keep having to wiggle the keyboard. Any
suggestions on causes and permanent fixes?
