I'm not trying to be mean. I was just excited and wanted to share it with
folks who could appreciate it. This is only the second major Apple II score
that I've found in more than two years, and both of them were by sheer luck.
Otherwise, a few nice finds here and there, and a lot of hunting on ebay
have helped me put together a respectable collection of Apple II items. The
best advice that I can give you on setting yourself up for this kind of find
is to first of all, be nice to your fellow collectors, and build your
network of collector friends. Secondly, be aggressive on following up on
those leads you hear about, or find in the newsgroups. Most of my finds have
been through word of mouth, and aggressive follow-up on my part.

This one was posted in the apple2.marketplace newsgroup, and it didn't sound
anything like this sort load. I'm sure that if he would have mentioned
"Vulcan HD," and "Transwarp GS card," and "GS-RAM Plus 6meg card," more
people would have responded to his ad. I know of several A2 collectors here
in Seattle that I'm sure would have called. in second.

Luck was smiling on me with this one. By the way, the TWGS card has the 32k
cache expansion, and I believe the 14mhz chip/55mhz crystal upgrade. I can't
wait to try it out.

Maybe now, I'll set up that BBS that I've been thinking about.
