Just checked my System 7.1 distribution diskettes and I don't see
PC Exchange.  There is a copy of Apple File Exchange.  I don't see
any files that support Foreign File Systems, no ISO-9660 driver,
etc  When I had it installed, it would want to format my ProDOS
disk and MS-DOS diskettes because it couldn't read it.  If memory
serves me, PC Exchange was an add-on product that you had
to purchase. It wasn't part of the OS distribution until 7.5. I could
be wrong but that is how I recall it.  To use Apple File Exchange,
you had to load it first then put in the Disk to get files from otherwise
it would want to format the disk because it couldn't read it.  However,
it was only good at transfering text based files.

It is similar to Apple File Exchange. It just interprets DOS text files
as Simple text files. (Teachtext??) I looked again at my system and
I do have it but it is not what allows me to gain access to foreign
file systems.  There are several files in the extensions folder which
allows that.  (ISO-9660 driver, Foreign File System etc)  There may
be other add-on interpreters available but not on the standard
distribution.
