Right on the money. Perception is reality. And why do people continue to
buy into the Microsoft propaganda juggernaut? Because it's easy. People
believe what's popular, whether "popular" is really of any value or not.
Because it takes no effort on their part to see if there is a viable
alternative OS, or any of the other much-ballyhooed, very unremarkable,
very arcane software that Microsoft is infamous for.

And then it breaks and they complain. I tell them: "You get what you pay for".
