I'm not the originator of this message, and no, I don't have such a list.
But there is one very annoying aspect to MS Works. To my knowledge, there
are no other word processors or spreadsheets that can import files saved in
the proprietary MS Works formats. True, you can export from MS Works if you
know in advance which other program you will be using to work on Works
files, and that program is on the list of "save" formats in MS Works. But
it's darned inconvenient for people who start out with Works and then want
to use something a little more elaborate.
