Not at all. The "point" was to try to make a "new" computer for $300.
MY point is that NO ONE WILL BUY ONE if it has half the features and
runs at one tenth the speed of a comparably priced system ALREADY on
the market.

And Rolls Royce has been in financial trouble for quite a while now.
And "kit cars" cost a ton of money, and hardly ever work right.
You can ride to the Space Station if you have enough millions.
But can you build an obsolete hackers' computer for only $300?

Certainly, you can find something to fill almost any niche, if price
is no object.
I always lusted after a KIM-1, even though it cost more than our $300
price point, and did very little. Want to guess how many were
actually sold?
