That's right - I saw it once and only once right after I had the bridge
installed on the SE/30.  I got an error message about incompatible login or
something, and have never seen it since.

Yes - I can see the PC no problem at all.  Both as a Guest and as an actual
user (i.e. I specify the login/password for an existing user on the PC).

I'm actually using the AppleTalk Services that come with Windows 2000
Server.  To configure the file sharing for AppleTalk Services, you have to
(at least initially, it seems) use a command-line tool called "macfile" that
ATS installs.  I guess you use PC MACLAN?  Is that a commercial tool?

Heh, well,  you're more of an expert than I am!  Can you describe a precise
configuration of users/logins on the SE/30 and PC that allow you to bridge?
