I don't know anything about the monitor in particular, but you can
find an awful good resource for the repair of electronic equipment
at http://www.repairfaq.org

It's referred to as a "FAQ", for the sci.electronics.repair newsgroup,
but it's more like a book or a few books on the topic.  There's a lot of
background material, and a big section on monitor repair.  The guy
who's done most of the work on it ended up writing the service column
in Electronics Now (used to be Radio Electronics, now it's called
Poptronics).

The site is worth checking whenever someone needs to repair some
electronic device.
