:     What you have there is an ImageWriter II/L. Released in 1989, its
: main difference is the inclusion of a 24K RAM buffer (built-in) and a
: smaller powersupply that draws less current. You could still add a
: LocalTalk option board but from what I recall, it did _not_ support
: memory expansion any longer.

--> Pardon my confusion - do you mean that as of the above model
    version, that all future IW II's no longer supported memory-
    expansion above 24K, but that previous model versions, with
    0K, _did_ support memory-expansion (and, by implication, to
    more than 24K)?  Or do you mean something else?  Sorry to
    seem so dense - it just isn't clear to moi.  Thanks . . .
