For changing filetypes on the Mac, Snitch is probably about the
best from what I hear. I have another options, but I think it
requires at least Mac OS 8.5 so that won't help you...I'm only
running 9.1 pretty much at the moment so I don't have a reference
to check what was available under the older systems...
