Since it's a printer cable, it is intrinsically a null modem cable. Allheneeds is a 25-->9-pin adapter.Doh! So basically I had a cross then I uncrossed it...that could explain my lack of connectivity...and now tis too late to return to the store...damn! Ah well...always another day... Any idea on whether IN#2 (ADT recieve instruction) will work under ProDOS or if I need a DOS3.3 system disk to start it? Thanks, Mac mac@solarwinds.com
I'm pretty sure you'll need some sort of terminal program. Proterm and Spectrum are the best you'll find. You'll have to find an old program for the PC or Mac. Null modem between the two. One program set to send and the other to recieve. Make sure the bit rates on the two computers are the same. Use ZMODEM to send from your non-Apple machine. You'll be able to figure out the rest yourself. ;-)
