It's been so long since I used my Rana equipment that I don't actually
remember much about it but fortunately I remembered where the manual was.
Elite 1 - 40 tracks, single head - will also read disk II floppies
Elite 2 - 80 tracks, two head - will also read Elite 1 and Disk II floppies
Elite 3 - 160 tracks, two head - will read Elite 1 & 2 or disk II floppies
There was a utility disk which would modify DOS 3.3 or CP/M to recognize the
various drives. I likely have that but exactly where it is I haven't a clue
The controller will opperate all three drives as well as the Disk II drives.
It's supposed to automatically use either 13 or 16 sector formatting.
I only have the Elite 1 drives which work fine with my controller, Disk IIs
work fine too. You might try reseating all the chips, there's been a lot of
years for the chip legs to oxidize
