Rana Elite Drives

I recently acquired two Rana Elite One drives.  I also have a Elite
floppy controller with software.  To my surprise, it appears these items
do not go together.

It looks like the Elite drives I have may just be Disk II clones, while
it may be the controller works with some more advanced drive.

Can anybody explain the full range of Rana drives, what works with what,
and what the capabilities of the different drives/systems are?
