In the case of the IIc+ it's not just a faster chip. What Apple did was lease 
the ZipChip technology but they didn't use a ZipChip itself. What they did 
was separate the Zipchip into it's component parts and build them into the 
IIc+ motherboard. I wish they had just installed ZipChips, then there'd be 
a lot more accellerators around.
