Get Proterm. Simply the best telecom proggy out there. Stable. Reliable.
Rock Solid.
Here are a couple of pointers.
1 - If you don't have a hardware-handshake serial cable, either make one or
buy one. Otherwise, you will limited to ~9600bps max transfer rate before
errors take over the line.
2 - If you have a hardware handshake cable, your max transfer rate will
hover at ~38,400bps. Don't try anything higher. If you don't have an
accelerator in your IIgs, this number may be lower (19,200max).
3 - Make sure that you enable hardware handshaking at both ends of the
serial connection. Use ZModem or YModem-G as a transfer protocol. Don't use
XModem, Kermit or any of the other protocols.
