Text files are the same whether they're on an Apple II or a Mac.  If it's a
matter of filesystem compatibility, MacOS has been able to access ProDOS
filesystems since somewhere around version 7 (my Quadra 610 with 7.5.5 reads
ProDOS floppies just fine, whether DD or HD), and GS/OS has been able to
access HFS floppies since 6.0 (IIRC; it may have been earlier).
