Re: Whats it for?
William:
Well the Kensington trackball is about the right size and weight to
eliminate the problems you have run in to. It is heavy enough to not be
touchy, and I let it spin free to cover distances. I used to have those
issues too. But flipping the ball to slam the cursor to one side or the
other has it's advantages over slamming the mouse off the side of the
pad.
I was introduced to this particular track ball when the accomodations
dept suggested them as a mouse replacement for folks with repetive
stress injuries. I have to try out everything, I too was skepticle.
After a day of using the ball, I was hooked. But they aint cheap but
they come with an outstanding warranty. I managed to pick a couple up
that had been damaged through neglect and was able to repaired them. I
think I still paid too much for non-working track balls, but they seem
worth it now. They have given me unparalleled control and reliability
for over two years now. I clean them only every now and again.
Geez now that I made a public offer, I am reconsidering... What would I
do without my track ball? I don't even know where my old mouse is!
Could I live without it for a week? What if the unthikable happened?
...Ship it, try for a day, love it, never return it to that idiot...)
:)
Thankx,
Ed
