Another factor is whether the original boxes are present. Also, a very
"white" system will fetch more. Those who know the differences between
the beige and platinum keyboard //c s will pay more for the latter since
they aren't as common.

Sometimes it's the accessories more than the //c itself, like an LCD
screen, Z-80 card, or a 1 meg memory card. I can imagine what would
happen if somebody put a //c-compatable hard drive, the crown jewel of
//c accesories, on eBay.

But to pay anything more than $20 for a plain old //c with common
accessories is a bit much. The worse thing is that with a little
patience you can snag some good deals on A2 stuff on eBay, even the
rarer stuff if the seller uses "Buy it Now" and you're the first one
there. (I snagged a //c system with a 1 meg Apple memory card for $25
this way.) Then again some folks don't care how much they spend.
