I have an original DeskJet which I used to use on my IIgs via the serial
port. I've just finished packing it up to give it to a friend.

The printer automatically detects which port is being used so there is no
switch for serial/parallel. Contrary to what the manual may say you can also
run the serial port at 19200b/s just fine.
