I'd assume it outputs the pixels that are supposed to appear on the
screen, in binary form, but already arranged into scan lines.
I'm quite sure it is _not_ a standard serial line; the video system
works much faster than serial lines. Besides, that wouldn't square
with the way the Apple handles the screen internally.
