Tricky question to answer. I am using the IIe workstation software in
ProDOS to login etc. on the network. The IIe card control panel has the
network in slot7 from the "slots" panel.
Nothing special is done on the MacOS side, except Appletalk etc. is
enabled. I assume that the IIe card "network" emulation is communicating
with the MacOS behind the scenes, so the MacOS must be involved. From the
IIe emulation side though I work just like I am on a real IIe.
The manuals I've looked at are very skimpy on Appletalk. I'm not sure I
could get it working with the IIe workstation software (which doesn't come
with the LC IIe card). The manual implies that I can log into the host
LC. I have never been able too. I can login to any other Mac on the
network, but not the Mac the IIe card is in.
I want to know how people not using the IIe workstation software on a LC
use Appleshare with the IIe card.
