Applied Engineering GS RAM

I have an Applied Engineering GS RAM expansion card that gives me 3200K,
according to the Finder, when I put it in my ROM 3 IIgs.

When I run a memory test (Bit Banger), it says bad memory at $1E0100. A
different memory test says the problem is at $100000 (less specific?).
Which chip would be the problem? Can I use chips from an Apple Memory
Expansion card to replace it?

It seems to me, because this GS Ram has 6 banks of 8 chips and the Apple
card has 4 banks of 8 chips, that the GS Ram is really 1.5 megs and the
finder doesn't know it. Anybody know what's up with that?
