The easiest way to do this is to transfer files via a null-modem
serial connection using terminal software on both hosts (eg. Hyperterm
on the Win2K Pro box and ProTERM 3.1 on the IIgs). I sometimes use
this method since it works quite well at 38.4kbps when transferring
large Shrinkit files (SHK) via ZModem.
The Localtalk bridge on my Mac is sometimes flaky and the IIgs often
times out when accessing HFS resources on the Mac end.
Other transfer methods include:
1. Setting up PPP or SLIP to operate over a TCP/IP serial link between
the Win2K Pro system and the IIgs
2. Installing a LANceGS network card on the IIgs and use some form of
NetBIOS file sharing over TCP/IP. Ethertalk is an other option here
as well. I don't think either of the last two services are available
for the LANceGS network card.
