Yes, this would be a prime example of a write protect override switch. 
You should buy this if you need one, but I'd rather get hands-on with
mine.  :)  And of course, mine doesn't look so obtrusive.  :)

Hmm, I wonder if this is one of those famous Bugg Drives that Steven
Buggie makes.
