apple iii boot disk problem

hi, I've been trying to get my apple III booting off of the system
utilities disk but it boots and after the apple intro logo (sos 1.1
copyright etc.) it asks me to insert a disk with pascal on it? b.t.w
the screen has then since changed to 80 columns.

I've tried putting in the system utilities data or booting off of the
demo/][_emulator disks but it refuses to boot from those.

the contents of the utilties disk (read from my IIgs) is:
sos.driver (locked) 14k
sos.interp (locked) 14k
sos.kernel (locked) 22k
system.miscinfo 1k
system.pascal (locked) 23k
system.startup (locked) 62k

I downloaded the image disk from asimov ftp site (I think that was
it).

anyhow - please help - also (not sure if this is important) but I
can't seem to be able to read the contents of the other disks (util
data/demo/][_emulation) on the IIgs - it keeps complaining that it is
a diff format and if I want to initialize it.

additional info - I've taken the disk (which I created from dsk format
on the IIgs) and saved a dsk image from it - then used it on the apple
III emulator (sara for mac 68k) and it likes it just fine - i.e. it
brings me up to the apple menu. If I can just get past this - then
maybe I can start working on getting the profile drive working with
it.

thanks in advance...
