well, what is does is it changes the cpu of the apple into a z80.
the z80 on the card takes over the system.

the 6845 was a graphics controller.  used on monochrome text/graphics,
cga  graphics cards for the IBM PC.

the only available OS for this "z80 in an apple"  was CP/M.. as CP/M  was
also DR's product.

you might remember Digital Research   from the IBM PC / microsoft story,
