I just got a new bigger drive for my Focus.

When you press Control-reset, the hard drive powers down.  If you 
try a control-apple=reset to reboot from the drive, the drive is still
trying to spin back up when the Apple II ROMS try to boot from it.  This
locks the system up.

I read the Google archives about similar problems.

Would there be a problem with adding a small toggle switch to the Focus
card that would connect/disconnect the Apple Slot's RESET line connection
to the Focus card?  I could flip the switch and the RESET signal would
not make it to the card or the drive, and the drive would in theory not
power off/reset.

Would this cause other problems?
