I had that problem too but it seemed to have more to do with a SCSI card.
One thing that helped was putting a disk in the 3.5" drive.  I think it
was a data rather than a system disk.  Whatever it was it wouldn't boot from
the 3.5" drive, went to the Focus.  Sandy
