Re: Apple II version (Porting Westfront PC adventure game)



Just one question-

Does the source code absolutely, positively, HAVE to be in an html
format?

Wouldn't a nice, simple TEXT file be easier to maintain, not to
mention a lot friendlier to anyone who wants to import hundreds of
lines of code into a text editor..?

Most of the systems mentioned as possible ports have no html editors
available, so the source code has to be stripped out manually from the
html page source using search and replace in a text editor.  That can
be awfully messy and time consuming.

Real coding would be a lot easier to get started with a simple .ZIP
file (or just straight ASCII) of the source code.

Just a thought...
