Sol far as I know there are no patches. I just use mine as is, each year I start a new checkdatabase. The year cannot be changed, but the filename tells me what year I am opening. It works for me. I know it a poor fix, but someday I'll guess I'll have to start using a pc. I guess when this apple II breaks. I give it another five years at least. ;-) Bruce
