Bev, as you well know, I am one of those who have argued the case against piracy.
Paul is for it. Paul doesn't wish to see or hear why his position is not only
wrong, but self injurious. Paul doesn't speak up for piracy, he urges people to
killfile those who are against it.
I know that you have contributed to the maintenance of Apple II software. Because
of our differences, you might suspect that I don't value your contribution. On the
contrary; I value your contributions highly. I value anyone's contributions, even
those who did so 20 or more years ago. It seems to me that such esteem is sadly
lacking on the part of those who don't even try to contact the author's/copyright
holders of Apple II software. And that lack of courtesy, and/or a guilty
conscience, I believe is why some, like Paul, try to shout down those like Jeff
Blakney who point out the copyright status of Apple II programs.
