Probably best would be Prosel 8 Mr.Fixit or Prosel 16 Volume Repair.
Info.Desk from the Prosel package might also help identify specific
problems.

Generally, when you copy a disk, you are simply copying blocks between
volumes so you will have the same problems with the new disk. I would
suggest using that copy to run the above utilities just in case things get
worse than they already are.

In any case, when copying individual files from a suspect disk you may
want to verify that the files actually contain what you think they should.
