I use LocalTalk Bridge on a MacOS 8.5 PPC8150.  My IIe workstations and my
IIGS can share files with any Mac on the localtalk network or on ethernet
network, in any of the multiple zones on campus.  Same is true for
Laserwriter type printers on localtalk or ethertalk.  

So in a Apple Computer Inc. inclusive sense, Apple II's work fine with
Localtalk Bridge.  I have no experience with Linux or netatalk (except
that I can NOT get netatalk running on my HPUX workstation :-( .  Oh, I
also log in as a specific registered user, not as a guest, but guest
logins also work fine.
