I have a Mountain Computer Card

Hi Peter,

The card worked when I bought it with my first computer over a decade ago.
I got the card and a parallel cable. No instructions, no serial cable.

I think that diskette software is required to set the clock. As I recall
back then none of this was supported, but for something like $US35 or 40
each Mountain Computer would supply me with instructions and diskette.
The parallel part worked. I have never tried the serial function.
Something like $75 was more than I was willing to pay for a clock.
Accordingly I have only cable and card.

It prints slowly, I think because of lack of software I might use to
change some settings.

Every year or two I use it when I run some project on eight machines at
once. The last time was in spring of 99. Well maybe a year ago, but I do
not think I used so many machines then. Recently it has been stored in an
antistatic bag. Sometimes it was stored in a ][ slot.

It is marked with company name and card name and copyright date. I
checked just now and before I wrote the news the first time. This time I
read an unidentified number number which seems to be an integral part of
the card, by which I mean not printed on it. The number is
05-00210-01?. The character at the "?" looks like a G, but may be a 6 or
a 0.

I do not want money. Others have helped me out. But I could use:
An interface card to run my 3.5" drives in a ][e, //e, or //GS.
My V-TEC card no longer works.
	A 3.5" cable adapter.
A good 3.5" drive. Mine are each marginal or broken.
	Even a GS monitor cable

Oh yes I could use a modem. You see I have had to use someone elses
system to write this because my modem has been having fits. True but I am
smiling :-).

As for an image, read the sig line. :-) My GS is a $5 item and as such
is not very useful.

Since you are in a hurry I will attempt to both mail this to you and send
it to the newsgroup.

Hi Joe

Great to hear from you. You almost make the other side of the world from

here.

I guess I should start by asking if you know whether the card is working?

Do you have a model number or image so I can verify that we are talking the

particular card I am looking for?

What consideration can I offer to induce you to part with the card and start

it on its way to me? USPS offer quite a reasonable international air parcel

service - takes 7-10 days to get here.

Looking forward to hearing ITrom you. As it is Friday here now, would you

please reply to me at home so I don't leave you waiting several days ...
