Re: IIgs newbee

Ken,

I havn't figured this out 100% yet either but I have had a go at it from a
80Mb Mac SCSI drive on the GS running 6.0.1 to a Mac LCII running OS 7.5.3.
I assume your Mac and GS use SCSI, but try this with a SPARE drive first
just to test the theory...
Format the SPARE drive with HFS initially on the Mac so it has a Mac
partition table, then take it to you GS and boot GS/OS on another drive with
the HFS.FST installed. it should allow you to see all the partitions, but
you might have to eject the Mac partition table during boot up. Transfer all
your ProDOS files to the new HFS partition. Take the drive back to your Mac.
Boot your normal boot drive. Hopefully you will see the files on your HFS
partition, which you can then transfer to your Mac's boot drive.

Well at least that's roughly how I did it, can't remember if all these steps
are right without doing it again.

I'm sure there are better ways to do this, especially since you already have
files on your ProDOS drive.

HTH, Mark
