Ken, there is no one, easy simple way; but I do this using appletalk
file-sharing. Very easy to do once everything is set up, for copying
files to/from the Mac or even copying a whole volume.
To start, install appletalk and file shaing on the GS using the system
6.0.1 installer disks. Connect the IIGS and Mac with phonenet cabling
(phone cords) or just a simple imagewriterII printer cable (printer port
on GS to printer port on Mac). Enable Appletalk via printer port on Mac,
enable file-sharing, and finally share the Mac harddrive. (You can even
give guest full read/write/delete privileges if this a small secure
private system.) Finally log in to the Mac from the IIGS network
control panel as the owner/group user/guest who has full access to the
shared volume. From the GS finder select the whole GS volume and drag it
onto the shared Mac volume. It will be copied as a folder onto the Mac.
Files are just as easy to copy to any place on the shared Mac harddrive.
Important note: The Mac can NOT see the GS harddrive, but the GS CAN see
the Mac harddrive, so do all the copying using the GS Finder (not the Mac
Finder).
There are other solutions, but I find this one the easiset and fastest
after the intial setup. Good luck!
