IIe Scsi/appletalk cards setup?

I've been given a late model IIe (platinum with built-in keypad) that
has an appletalk card in slot 7.  I've not gotten around to setting up a
server for an appletalk network, so won't use that card just yet (what
sort of boot disk would I need for the IIE at that point?).  I would
like to set up the old Rev c scsi card in this IIE with an external hard
drive and get two serial cards going (one for printer, one for modem)
unless I can print out over the appletalk card to a serial printer? 
Ideas?  Manuals...what are those...not with the well used computer/cards
in this case!
